At 20 years old, I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.
Along with a diagnosis came a new reality, one filled with carb counts, insulin doses, and medical devices I never imagined I’d wear. Overnight, things I had never given a second thought to became part of everyday life.

As I learned more about Type 1 diabetes, I realised how little it was understood. Before my diagnosis, I knew very little about it myself.
Like many people, I had misconceptions about what Type 1 diabetes was and what living with it actually involved.

The devices that helped keep me healthy became a source of self-consciousness. I found myself wondering why medical devices were something to hide, rather than simply accepted as a normal part of everyday life.

NORMAL REDEFINED was built on the belief that normal is broader than we’ve been taught to see, and that greater understanding starts with visibility and conversation.

My mission is simple: Redefine how the world sees Type 1 diabetes while creating premium, everyday clothing with purpose. Clothing that starts conversations, challenges misconceptions, and reminds people that medical devices are simply a necessary (and unfortunate) part of someone’s life.

While inspired by my experience with Type 1 diabetes, NORMAL REDEFINED is designed for everyone.

Premium everyday clothing. Built with purpose.
